Quilt Pattern/Name: Crazy Quilt Sampler

Quilt Pattern: You can find a number of free tutorials for this quilt under BEGINNER BASICS – Other Techniques – Crazy or Free Form Quilting.
Extra Information: This quilt is a backdrop for a three hour class that I teach on crazy quilting/free form quilting. Each block in this quilt is used to show some of the different techniques.
The color combination in this quilt came about as I tried to use up some scraps. I started using solid strips and then pulled trims from another scrap pile. I had some plaids nearby that made it into the quilt along with a Provence border print, batik strips for the frames and a favorite Kaffe print. It’s very eclectic but works well as a teaching tool. The back of the quilt looks like I pieced sections of jeans but it is actually a photo of patchwork printed on the fabric.
I machine quilted around the blocks and then I used yarn to tie the sashing/borders.
