Flying Geese units are traditional quilt patterns that are made from three triangles – one large and two smaller ones. There are many different ways to sew this pattern. Some of these techniques work well if you are sewing one unit (Quick Corner Method). Other directions are best for quilters sewing multiple units (Half and Quarter Square Triangles). You’ll learn about some of these methods in our Blocks That Teach series on Flying Geese.
The first video of this series focuses on the Quick Corner method. This is a great technique for beginner quilters to learn. Instead of cutting and sewing triangles, in the quick corner method quilters use squares and other rectangles to produce this block.
