Free Patterns

You will find links to patterns (most with FREE TUTORIALS!) under one of these classifications:

Quick Quilts

Quick Quilts are fast and easy. The tops can be assembled in a weekend.  These quilts are generally smaller and require less supplies than our Beginner Quilts listed below.  (Quick Quilts are perfect for your first quilt project!)

Beginner Quilts

These quilts were designed with the beginner quilter in mind. Most are made with simple shapes (rectangles and triangles) and feature straight line sewing.

One Block Wonders

Interested in learning or improving your basic quilting skills while completing a quilt square? Use these blocks to learn different techniques then add them to our One Block Quilt, Sampler QuiltQuilt Block Display or one of your favorite projects. Below are links to some of our 6″ block patterns and how-to videos. You’ll find FREE Patterns for other block sizes here.

Paper Piecing

Paper piecing is a good technique for quilters to learn. Beginners can get small precision piecing with minimal skill. Use the patterns below to get started. Click here for more paper pieced patterns.

Applique

All beginners should try their hand at applique. It’s fun and comes in handy when you want to embellish a project. These patterns do not include seam allowances.  They can be sewn by hand or machine.

  1. Hi.
I just found out about your channel from Brenda, Do you have a pattern for the spool quilt I see on the wall. My niece will love your channel. Awesone!

    1. Hello! So glad you like that quilt! Unfortunately I don’t have a pattern – just sort of put together scraps. I’ve been meaning to make a class for this so your comment is a great motivator. I’ll try to get to that pattern this week and I’ll send you a copy/link. Thanks for visiting!
