A quilt sleeve is sewn on the back of a quilt to make it easy to hang. The sleeve is a tube shape that is about 3 – 4 inches wide and is long enough to go across the back of the quilt. You can make your own (see the video below) or purchase sleeves from Amazon, click here.
This sleeve was added when the binding was sewn on using a sewing machine. The sleeve’s bottom was attached to the quilt by hand.

This binding was made out of 2 different fabrics in order to blend in with the back of the quilt.
